Love the board, picked up some small fun waves ; rides great only issue I had- it is so slippery I missed a bunch of waves due to it sliding around .. I’m hoping it has a lot to do with the wetsuit ? Any suggestions? I don’t want to put wax on the board... I’m surfing in NY 40degree water temps and full 5/4 suit
Hi Jacel, Thank you very much for the review! That is the first time that I've heard of the board being called slippery. Are you referring to the pad or the board itself? Let us know how we can help!
My son loves the board and its easy for him to carry and get up on. I'm a big bigger and even I can pop up on the board — formula fun lives up to its name. First day out people in the water asked about it. Beyond that the 100% recycled is a story most boards can't claim.
Great board to keep in your car, no wax needed. Really fun in 2-4ft waves, easy to get into the wave because of the volume, but still pretty loose and turns well. It’s more volume than my other boards so I had to get used to pushing it under when duck diving. Overall a good addition to your quiver.
Honestly the most fun board I’ve ever ridden. Definitely carves the best out of any foam board I’ve been on. If you move up towards the front of the board it has enough volume to keep you in any wave and if you pop back on the board the fish makes it super nimble and playful. I even took this thing wake surfing behind a boat the other day and it absolutely ripped. The beginners had a lot of fun since it was so floaty. Perfect beginner board and also super fun to rip if your advanced/intermediate.
This is a great concept I rode this board once on small, mushy waves in Florida. I’m a beginner and had a hard time standing up on this (need to practice) If you are a beginner maybe consider the long board they have or for another $100 you can get a real surfboard used.
